A REVIEW ON NANO/MICROPARTICLES FORMULATION OF VACCINE DELIVERY FOR UNIVERSAL INFLUENZA

چکیده

Worldwide, influenza affects millions of individuals and has the potential to cause serious illness or even death. The most effective approach prophylaxis is vaccination, but due strain viral mutation changes, seasonal vaccine frequently limited efficiency needs be administered annually. Although they have been employed clinically, more conserved universal antigens like M2 ectodomain (M2e) hemagglutinin stalk region (HA stalk) poor antigenicity. Universal created employing nano/microparticles as carriers boost their Indicators immunity protection against demonstrated in mouse, pig, ferret, chicken models using polymers, liposomes, metal, protein-based particles. This review focuses on physiochemical characteristics, production, characterization, biologic responses vivo formulations vaccines made from these materials. assessment concludes with future perspectives for carrier systems other factors take into account within perspective landscape administration vaccine. Evaluation of immunogenicity of recombinant influenza nucleoprotein (NP) for universal vaccine

Background: Influenza vaccines based on conserved proteins are being developed persistently. The conserved protein vaccines based on Nucleoprotein (NP) are highly protected vaccines against influenza viruses that can be used as a Universal vaccine. Aluminum hydroxide (Alum) is the most common adjuvant used in vaccine formulation to improve immunization by altering the epitopes’ folds. However, ...

Immunogenicity of Concentrated and Purified Inactivated Avian Influenza Vaccine Formulation

Avian influenza (AI) H9N2 is a low pathogenic virus subtype belonging to Orthomyxoviridae family. Given the prevalence of this subtype as an infectious agent in poultry industry, special attention has been always directed toward the development of vaccine production against this infection. The vaccine of this infection is produced by killing the virus and using a mixture of inactivated antigen ...

Prospects for Universal Influenza Virus Vaccine

The current vaccination strategy against influenza A and B viruses is vulnerable to the unanticipated emergence of epidemic strains that are poorly matched by the vaccine. A vaccine that is less sensitive to the antigenic evolution of the virus would be a major improvement. The general feasibility of this goal is supported by studies in animal models that show that immunologic activities direct...

Novel Platforms for the Development of a Universal Influenza Vaccine

Despite advancements in immunotherapeutic approaches, influenza continues to cause severe illness, particularly among immunocompromised individuals, young children, and elderly adults. Vaccination is the most effective way to reduce rates of morbidity and mortality caused by influenza viruses. Frequent genetic shift and drift among influenza-virus strains with the resultant disparity between ci...

Development of a universal CTL-based vaccine for influenza.

In pursuit of better influenza vaccines, many strategies are being studied worldwide. An attractive alternative is the generation of a broadly cross-reactive vaccine based on the induction of cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (CTL) directed against conserved internal antigens of influenza A virus. The feasibility of this approach using recombinant viral vectors has recently been demonstrated in mice and ...
